Help us, help them!

the movement

Five years ago, I was involved in an operation in Asia that changed my life forever.

Authorities had received credible intelligence about a suspected child predator from a western country paying for online abuse of children.

Because information was shared between trusted partners, action could be taken quickly.

That intelligence led us to a little boy who was only two and a half years old.

Today, that child is safe

I often think about what would have happened if that information had never been shared. What if the warning had never reached the right people? What if someone had decided the child was in another country and therefore someone else's responsibility?

The reality is that child exploitation does not stop at national borders.

Predators travel. Networks operate internationally. Children are exploited in countries all around the world. Yet the systems designed to protect them are often separated by geography, bureaucracy, and inconsistent cooperation.

This petition is not about politics.

It is about protecting children.

We believe New Zealand should continue strengthening its efforts to work alongside trusted international partners to identify offenders, share intelligence, support investigations, and help bring vulnerable children to safety.

We also believe New Zealanders who commit serious offences against children overseas should face accountability and that our laws should continue evolving to ensure there are no safe havens for those who exploit the vulnerable.

Every child deserves protection, regardless of where they live.

Every piece of intelligence could be the difference between a child remaining in danger and a child finding freedom.

Every piece of intelligence could be the difference between a child remaining in danger and a child finding freedom.

The little boy we found is proof of that.

That is why we are asking New Zealanders to stand with us.

What This Petition Means

This petition is a call for New Zealand to strengthen its role in protecting vulnerable children beyond our borders.

Child exploitation is a global problem. Predators travel between countries. Criminal networks operate across jurisdictions. Yet the systems designed to stop them are often fragmented, leaving dangerous gaps that can put children at risk.

By signing this petition, you are supporting:

Stronger International Intelligence Sharing

Encouraging greater cooperation and information sharing between New Zealand authorities and trusted international partners so credible intelligence can reach the right people at the right time.

Better Cross-Border Cooperation

Supporting stronger relationships between law enforcement agencies, child protection organisations, and international partners working to identify offenders and protect vulnerable children.

Greater Accountability for Offenders

Ensuring New Zealand continues to review and strengthen its laws so individuals who exploit children overseas cannot escape accountability simply because a crime occurred outside New Zealand.

Child Protection Without Borders

Recognising that every child deserves protection, regardless of nationality, location, or circumstance. Child safety should never end at a border.

Transparency and Public Confidence

Encouraging regular public reporting on New Zealand's efforts to combat international child exploitation, helping ensure accountability while protecting sensitive investigations.

This petition is not about politics.

It is about children.

It is about ensuring that when credible information exists, it can be shared. When a child is in danger, action can be taken. And when offenders target the vulnerable, they can be held accountable.

Together, we can help create a safer future for children everywhere.
